I have always enjoyed painting and drawing and went to Plymouth Art College in the 70s but, as they say , life got in the way and I spent the next 30 years working in the construction industry, dabbling now and again in watercolours when I had time.  Then several years ago I discovered oils, I found them the perfect medium for painting wildlife and figures and for trying to capture light 'contre jour', against the light.

More recently I have been painting pet and people portraits and I love painting children playing on the beach, trying to capture their concentration and innocence.
